FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL INFO

Dear Parents and Students,
We hope this email finds you excited and ready for the start of a new academic year at Southeast TECH! Tomorrow is the big day, and we want to ensure a smooth transition as we embark on this exciting journey together.
Here are some essential details for the first day of school:
Bell Schedule: The first bell for the morning period will ring promptly at 6:55 AM. To ensure you have ample time to get to class, please plan to be in your designated classroom by 7:00 AM.
Tardiness Policy: During the first week, we understand there may be adjustments as everyone settles into the routine. However, starting next Monday, we will begin marking students tardy for any late arrivals. To avoid this, we recommend aiming to arrive on campus no later than 6:30 AM, especially considering potential morning traffic delays.
Class Assignments: Students can access their class schedules through Infinite Campus. If you encounter any issues logging in or need assistance, our counselors will be available in the quad area to help guide you to your first-period class.
Paper Schedules: On the first day of school, paper schedules will be distributed during the first-period class. Be sure to keep your schedule handy for reference.
Attendance: It's important for students to sign in for each class on the first day. Students with open periods should report to the commons and sign in with the counselors.
Schedule Changes: If there is a concern or error with your student's schedule, please reach out to your student's counselor. While we cannot accommodate schedule changes on the first day, we will work diligently to address any misplaced students starting from Tuesday. All necessary schedule corrections will be finalized within the first 14 days of school. No further schedule changes will be possible after this period.
Subject Class Placements: Please note that English, Math, Science, and Social Studies class placements may be subject to change after the second week. These changes will be based on student's performance on the upcoming MAP assessment, which will be administered within the next two weeks during English and Math classes.
We are committed to providing an enriching and supportive learning environment for all our students. Your cooperation and promptness during these initial days are greatly appreciated.
We can't wait to see you tomorrow and kick off a fantastic school year. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please feel free to contact us at (702)799-7500
Warm regards,
