About Mr. Mayers
My name is Richard Mayers and this is my 23rd year teaching in the Clark County School District (CCSD). I started my career at Votech/Southeast Tech and absolutely love teaching here. The administration, faculty, and students are the best in the district. Starting this school year I’m proud of the fact that my son will be attending this great institution. I love teaching Math and I love helping students.
When I am not working I love spending time with my amazing wife and family. I have five outstanding children, Michelle (18), Jacob (16), Dominic (10), Kaitlyn (8) and little baby Emma (3). I am a truly blessed individual.
I was born and raised in the Las Vegas/Henderson area. I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree from UNLV and a Master’s degree from NOVA Southeastern University.
I love competing in sports and games (especially video games). I like watching Star Wars, UNLV basketball and the Pittsburgh Steelers (and believe it or not the Golden Knights are making me a hockey fan).
