The Student Ambassadors at Southeast Tech conduct tours of the school, convey information about Career Majors and activities, travel to middle schools with recruiting efforts, and help with special events.  As individuals and as a team, the Ambassadors are able to provide insights to topics ranging from registering for classes to ways to get involved.

CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains. They are Cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. Students must pay a $75.00 fee, which includes a t-shirt, bus transportation, and supplies.

In order to become a member, one must be nominated by a current teacher, meet basic application requirements, and be selected by the executive board.  Selection is based on applicants’ essay, evidence of leadership, and letter of recommendation.  NHS members are required to serve their peers as tutors, their school and community in service projects.

The Sun Youth Forum gives local teenagers an opportunity to share their opinions with their peers and community leaders.

The Sun Youth Forum will take place on November 8, 2017. Applications to attend the forum are open to Juniors and Seniors on a first come first served basis.  Applications will be given out in September please listen to the announcements for details.

FRIENDS OF RACHEL (FOR)

  • The FOR CLUB's main goal is to help improve the culture in our school.

  • The Rachel's Challenge assembly produces a temporary climate change on school campus. Students discuss the presentation and are inspired to change. A good message can only last so long before the momentum begins to fade. The FOR CLUB was created to promote permanent cultural change in our school. The goal is to have a campus that is welcoming, safe, and filled with kindness and compassion.
